Leon Bosch is no stranger to Swaledale audiences, having been an integral part of the chamber music series for the last two years. We're delighted to have him back and to welcome for the first time cellist Sebastian Comberti. Leon Bosch is principal bass with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and the London Mozart Players. Recently he has given several enormously successful concert and workshop tours of South Africa and is active in commissioning new work from composers born or resident in that country.
Sebastian Comberti studied in Italy and at the Royal Academy of Music. In 1983 he was appointed principal cello with the London Mozart Players. A keen interest in historically informed performance has resulted in frequent appearance as principal cello with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and soloist with the Hanover Band.
